Skin was in this year at The Globes. A nude palette reigned supreme.... New mom Megan Fox showed no signs of just having pushed a baby out of her teeny tiny body in lacy Dolce Gabbana. Songbird Amanda Seyfried was etherial in lace inlay Givency (were it not for that wretched tie clip looking neck accent, she would have been my best dressed). Never one to shy away from baring some skin, Jennifer Lopez wore strategically placed lace Zuhair Murad- could have skewed IceCapades but her flawless hair and make-up kept just this side of cheese. Hollywood darling Amy Adams looked every bit a siren in a nude mermaid cut Marchesa and gorgeous pin waves. The color was a risky move for a redhead but it paid off in spades. Kerry Washington stole the show in nude embellished Miu Miu which, mixed with her fabulous bangs, was sheer perfection.

The Critics Have Spoken....

And the biggest trends kicking off awards season are.... Patterns are having a big moment this season with starlets donning flowery frocks on the red carpet. At last night's Critic's Choice Awards, French fashion plate Marion Cotillard and indie darling Elle Fanning both flocked to florals, wearing Zuhair Murad and Chanel respectively. Shine was was another big trend on the red carpet last night. Anne Hathaway (who broke my heart into a million pieces with her "I Dreamed a Dream" - a slightly better version than the one my sisters and I performed for my parents' poor friends at dinner parties) stunned in a simply cut Oscar de le Renta while Emmy Rossum was an etherial vision in glittery Caroline Herrera.

Year End Style Wrap Up

While closing out all my 2012 jobs, I realized I never posted images from one of my favorite shoots with photographer Thomas Hoeber. I ended up building some fun pieces on set out of tulle. Insider tip- you can make shoulders as big as you want with that netted wonder! We also used some incredible hairpieces made out of safty pins the the uber-talented Steve David. Here are some of my faves.
